Growing up in Nigeria, a land rich in color, culture, and bold self-expression, I was drawn to creating outfits that told distinct stories. But after moving to the UK, I found myself surrounded by formal wear that, though elegant and well-made, felt muted and hollow, lacking the vibrant energy, cultural depth, and unapologetic personality that should make formal dressing unforgettable.
The name “Ohifumere” is deeply personal and purposeful. In my native Owan language from Edo state, Nigeria, “Ohifumere” means “God has given me peace.” The name was chosen to embody a sense of calm and fulfillment at the heart of the brand. I believe every woman should feel amazing and empowered as she achieves her dreams and celebrates each milestone. The name, Ohifumere, is a reflection of the rest and satisfaction I want every woman to experience when she steps out for her next event in a custom-made Ohifumere outfit.
Born from this vision, we create bespoke womenswear designed to do more than just fit; it’s designed to celebrate, empower, and bring that same feeling of confidence and wholeness.
